Belinda Gilbey

Co-Founder, President, BONDI Energy

Belinda Gilbey is an entrepreneur, green building enthusiast and market leader in heat pump technology. Her career trajectory was initiated by her degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa, which was driven by her strong interest in clean technology. She assisted commercial property owners, operators, and developers with their mechanical equipment needs for several years while working in sales and consulting, with an emphasis on increasing productivity and lowering building energy consumption and operating costs. She first became interested in developing decarbonization solutions while working in the solar and HVAC industries. This passion eventually led her to co-found and serve as President of BONDI Energy, a turnkey retrofit company decarbonizing multifamily and commercial buildings with heat pumps and other energy efficiency technologies.
