Program Director for Indigenous and Remote Communities, CLEAResult
Nik is an accomplished professional engineer with 20 years of experience in Canada’s energy sector. In 2024, he joined CLEAResult as their new Program Director for Indigenous and Remote Communities, building off his prior energy efficiency experience as the Director of Energy Efficiency for the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Ontario, as well as his federal housing experience with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) and Infrastructure Canada. Nik holds a Masters of Applied Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University. Nik volunteers as Director for StepUp Energy Board, where he passionately works to champion gender, equity, diversity and inclusion within the energy sector. As a member of the Métis Nations of Ontario with mixed settler ancestry, Nik spends half of the year in Toronto and half of the year in Northwestern Ontario (Dryden) to reset, recharge and reconnect with family and nature.
